lunette - menstrual cup
The lunette menstrual cup is here to make your period easier!
Manufactured from 100% latex free, hypo-allergenic medical grade silicone, the lunette menstrual cup is hygienic, economical, eco-friendly and easy to use.
The average woman spends between A$120 - $200 per year on disposable tampons and pads. The lunette is a one-time cost that will last for years. Lunette is environmentally friendly, with no accumulation of plastic applicators, wrappers or bio-waste from used tampons and pads. In fact, the lunette box and enclosed informational material is made from recycled paper.
The lunette menstrual cup is as easy to use as a tampon, simply fold and insert. When inserted, the lunette does not disrupt the natural lubricating ability of the vagina and will only need to be changed every 6-12 hours depending on your flow.
Once the cup is full, just empty the contents into the toilet, wipe the cup with lunette cup wipes or rinse it clean, and re-insert. When your period is over, you can sterilise your cup by placing it in boiling water for a few minutes, drying it and then putting it away in the included satin bag until next month! The satin bag provides proper ventilation, never store your Lunette in an airtight plastic container or bag.
Lunette is available in a choice of four bright colours or a classic, clear frosted finish. Selene (blue) is named for the Greek moon goddess, Cynthia (bright purple) is named for the Greek maiden goddess, Aine (coral) is named for the Irish goddess of the moon, love and fertility, and Lucia (yellow) is named for the golden haired goddess of light.
There are two sizes to choose from. Sizing can be dependent on several factors: amount of flow, age and whether or not you have given birth vaginally.
